Kundalini and shaktipat

I am curious to know more about how you are able to assist another human being in awaking their own kundalini as well as receive shaktipat.

It is possible to assist others to awaken their own kundalini, just as it possible for someone to train another to become a doctor, for instance. What really makes this process happen is the desire of the person that wants this state.

In the bible is the story where a woman touched Jesus' robe. He stopped and asked who had done that, because he felt the kundalini move.

In the process of learning about the Kundalini is the implicit awareness that you, as a spiritual being, are something besides the body.

Kundalini is an energy, just like electricity. It can be accumulated and stored like electricity. It can be discharged, as in shaktipat.

It can be shaped. In karate, the student learns to shape the chi, or kundalini, so that it is the chi that breaks the brick, not the hand.

Kundalini is stored up so that the body becomes energized . The energy fills the chakras, awakening them.

When the crown chakra, or brain chakra, is awakened, that is the first level of enlightenment. As the energy travels up the spine, awakening the other chakras, this changes your life.

When the energy awakens the second chakra, and the chakra activates, people become sexually attracted to you. Will this change your life? Yes

Swami Nityananda let this power get away from him, and it destroyed his spiritual life.

If you want power and fame, awakening the 3rd chakra and learning to use it will bring you fame and money and power.

All famous people are using this chakra, whether they know it or not.

How does one become more enlightened with this process?

When the Kundalini reaches the crown chakra, without getting sidetracked. Because we are beings driven by our desires, we have to have a desire for realization that is stronger than all others. When you have a desire stronger than for realization, sooner or later the awakening process will answer that desire. At that moment, you will stop the awakening process, so that you can savor the fulfillment. Sometimes stopping could last lifetimes,

The awakening process starts again when dissatisfaction comes with level of awareness, sex, power, Love, and the realization that this is not enough for yourself.

Until that moment comes, you will continue to be distracted by the brilliant displays from the lower chakras, and neglect the higher. After a while, you can see where other people's distractions are, what level of awareness they have. It is difficult for you to see where other people are at if you yourself are distracted by the display from a lower chakra.

How do you get the power of the kundalini awakened? There are 2 main methods, Pranayama and austerities (Tapah). Pranayama is the 5th limb of Astanga Yoga, and is the secret sauce of Yoga traditions. Tapah is the restraint of the physical or mental body for some time period, usually 40 days. Usually it is for a specific purpose.

For example, Jesus, stayed in the desert for 40 days before he started his preaching. He was tested by the devil 3 times. But he knew that he would acquire a huge store of energy by doing this practice, so he rejected the devil's offers. This was the source of his power when he started his healing, and transmission of energy.

What is different from the other guru methods beside the length of time/money it takes for the other gurus to give this service to those who seek?

Let me ask a different question, before I answer. Do you begrudge the money paid to the professor in medical school for the his teaching you to become a doctor? The money you pay for realization is worth any amount. But I come from a tradition where I was not charged for transmission of the spirit.

Can this be done as a distance transfer? Yes, but there are issues involved. What most people do not tell you is shaktipat involves an energy exchange. Both people should understand what is involved before entering into that exchange. At least one of the participants should recognize the karma that hey are accepting. In my tradition, money and its attached karma are very hard to accept.
